A potent, selective, orally active TRPA1 channel antagonist with IC50 of 71 and 131 nM for rTRPA1 and hTRPA1 in Ca2+ flux assays respectively, without agonist activity (EC50>40 uM); shows good selectivity over other TRP channels, including human TRPV1 and TRPV4, rat TRPV1, TRPV3, and TRPM8 (IC50>10 uM); demonstrates dose-dependent inhibition of AITC-induced flinching in rats.
